The Mummy

2026 · Dir. Lee Cronin
★★½☆☆
🍿🍿½👀 Watch

Starts on a promising note with a dark, eerie atmosphere — but this is nothing like the classic Mummy franchise. Know your taste before hitting play!

"Lee Cronin's The Mummy is a film that divides straight down the middle — and that's not necessarily a bad thing. It opens with a genuinely eerie, unsettling atmosphere that draws you in beautifully. But from there, it takes a hard turn into ultra-gore territory with strong Evil Dead Rise vibes. Gore horror fans will absolutely love every minute of it. But if you're walking in expecting the adventure and charm of the classic Mummy franchise, you'll be caught completely off guard. Our verdict? Know your audience — if you love hardcore horror, Watch it. If you don't, Skip it."

Sambhavam Adhyayam Onnu

It’s a rare Malayalam thriller that manages to juggle three intersecting timelines without losing the audience, even as the logic pushes the boundaries of the genre.

"The story follows Anand (Askar Ali), a Civil Police Officer and orphan who was raised in the shadow of his father’s mysterious disappearance in 1994. While on a routine patrol near a cursed forest on the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border, Anand and his team attempt a rescue mission that inadvertently triggers an ancient temporal curse. The film's unique hook is its trigger mechanism: time doesn't reset on a clock, but rather shifts whenever blood is spilled or a loud noise (like a gunshot) echoes through the forest. This creates a claustrophobic atmosphere where characters must decode the "rules" of a land that is physically and temporally looping."
